Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Kicklytics collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Effective date:

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information Kicklytics ("Kicklytics", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Kicklytics website and services. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

The data we handle falls into a few distinct categories, and we treat them differently.

  • Account information you provide: when you create an account, we store your email address, a securely hashed password, and the tokens needed for sign-in and password reset. We never store passwords in plain text. If you sign in with Kick, we receive basic profile information from Kick to create and identify your account.
  • Payment information: when you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, who acts as the merchant of record. Your card details are entered with the payment provider, not with us — we do not receive or store full card numbers. We do receive and store limited subscription information, such as your plan, subscription status, and billing period, to operate your account.
  • Publicly available Kick data: we aggregate channel, stream, viewer, and category statistics that Kick exposes publicly. This describes public Kick channels and broadcasts — it is not private data about the people who visit Kicklytics.
  • Usage and technical data: when you use the Service we and our analytics provider automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you navigate the site.

How we use information

We use your account information to operate your account: to authenticate you, to send password-reset messages, to provide and bill the Pro subscription, and to contact you about your account or material changes to the Service.

We use limited subscription information to grant and manage access to paid features. We use usage and technical data to keep the Service secure and to understand and improve how it is used. Publicly available Kick data is used to build the rankings, leaderboards, channel pages, and comparison tools that make up the product.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to serve advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and browser-storage entries to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences such as your selected time window.

We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies, to understand how visitors use Kicklytics in aggregate — such as which pages are viewed and how people navigate the site — so we can improve the product. We do not use these for advertising. By continuing to use the Service you consent to this use of cookies and analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time by blocking or clearing these cookies in your browser.

How we share information; third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to operate Kicklytics, who process data on our behalf:

  • Dodo Payments — our payment provider and merchant of record, which processes subscription payments and handles your card details under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Google — which provides Google Analytics as our usage-analytics processor. Google receives standard analytics information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. Its handling of that data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers, which run the application and store our database on our behalf.
  • Our email provider, which delivers transactional messages such as password-reset emails.
  • The Kick API and public Kick endpoints, which are the source of the channel and stream data we aggregate.

International transfers

Our infrastructure and some of our providers operate outside your country of residence, including within the European Union. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers to protect it.

Data retention

We retain your account and subscription information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your email and credentials, retaining only what we are required to keep for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention reasons. Aggregated Kick statistics, which do not identify visitors, may be retained indefinitely as part of the historical analytics the product provides.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of credentials and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, or for any privacy question, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children

Kicklytics is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
